Have the family or guest to come to the dining room. Have each to stand at their place with chair in back of them until the prayer is said, htne they can be seated.
The soup is served with the dinner plate under the soup bowl. Place it in the center of the mat in front of the person from the right.
After the soup is finished, remove the plate, bowl and spoon. If you have a plate salad you can serve it after you remove the soup plate.
Bring the food in on each plate. Milk is always served with dinner. Place glass near the upper right hand corner of the place mat.
After they have finished, remove both dinner and salad plates, and serve the dessert. If the dessert is cake or pie plate, serve it on dessert plate with the fork to the right of it; with the handle and small end of the dessert facing you. Place it in the center of the mat and more milk may be served if desired.
When dessert is finished, remove everything from the table; also remove crumbs.
Bring in the cream and sugar for coffee. If you have an electric coffee maker, you can serve the coffee at the table. If not, bring the coffee in cups on serving tray with spoon on saucer.
After coffee is finished, remove cups, cream and sugar and serve water.
Bring in a pitcher of water and glasses. Pour each a glass. Refill the pitcher and put it on the table.
