Letter From Messenger to Temple No. 2 in Chicago, Illinois in 1933
Editor’s Note: This Letter, being written so very long ago, was very
difficult to read in certain areas. When the letters were too difficult
to understand I placed this “???” to let you know that the wording was
not legible
Dearest Beloved Labors and Moslems at #2
Illinois in general I have in spite of your constantly disobeying the
law of Islam which is your Own, as well as mine, Continue to send you
more of the same. And you have received from one ??? the same much
warnings against disobedience to that Pure and easy way to your Own
Salvation which the Almighty God Allah give to us for our Success.
The more teaching and warnings I send to you the more you disobey,
and ask for more to ignore. I have more-over taught you how to seen your
means of subsistence for yourselves and families, as well as to the cause
of Islam; By putting before you “first of ALL” Our Savour Allah, To Whom
Be Praises, Honour and Thanks. And you who sincerely tried have found
Allah’s Hand helping and blessing you daily as long as you continue to
obey me and trust in Him. But you who disobey; the blessing is quickly
removed from you.
I have tried hard to Teach a Group of Labors to help me in this Noble
Work which Allah has assigned to me, to give life to the Dead That your
name may live and be praised by your Nation as the Stars forever and ever.
But this glory you are still Dumb of and refuses to believe it.
Moreover, then I do try by my Allah’s Help to teach and train a Labor to
any position in Islam, whether Minister, Captains, Or Secretary or
Treasurer Or Principles. Soon as they receive this High Position and
begin to be a little successful for a week or two, By Allah’s Help,
their chests begin to swell with Self Importance, Thinking in Their minds
that they need no more of my assistance, and for Goodness sake not my
presents among them. This has been the very Thoughts of near every Labor
of important at #1 Michigan at #2 Illinois. It is their secret advices
among the Labors and Moslems in general at #2 that is gradually bringing
you into discord with each other. I have warned you who believe in Islam
to not take the enemies of Allah, and his Apostle for Friends. Allah’s
Wrath be upon you who willful ignores it. You know that they have Driven
me out from among you. Then would you offer them Love and friendship? And
thus invoke the Wrath of Almighty Allah against your Life? Be it known
among you — Elijah Mohammed is the Apostle of Almighty Allah to you all.
And who so-ever of you Love and obey, and follow me The same will Allah
Love and will shower His Blessing upon day and night.
I have a large family of Girls and Boys in the right age to be forever
ruined in such a Wicked Hell, among people that Love better than their
own selves; And these same children — of mine is getting worse and
worse day by day. Disobedient to their Mother cause they do know that I
am away and going to stay away until He sends me back. They disobey the
Labors of Islam for more than one ???
They have began to Love the ways of the devils more than the Way of
Allah, and his teaching, and his Apostle sterness to His Last. They know
the strict law that was enforced in the Temple and among the Labors while
I was going in an out –among them, both at #1 Michigan and #2 Illinois
until I trusted a no good wicked and jealous brother of mine by the name
of Kallat Mohammed, Who became proud and Boastry, and desirous to be
ruler over me as well as any the ones that he was given to. This he
finding himself unable to do, and fearing the people would soon learn
that he had no Power against me what so–ever; He thus secretly joined
himself with my enemies to instruct them how to try and overcome me,
–And thus brought Down upon himself the Wrath of Almighty God Allah, And
it shall remain upon Him and all that follow him — to the day when they
(the whole Nation) is raised up to the knowledge of their Saviour Allah!
And his Apostle whom he has chosen.
The Law at #2 Illinois is not carried out strictly like I give it.
The Temple of Islam is a Holy Place where the name of Allah is
Worshipped, Those who seek to defile it by their own Dirty uncleaness
will be fuel of the fire of Hell. And such as Drunkards, Adulterers,
Liars, Gamblers, Murderers, Mockers, Hypocrites, Peace Breakers, etc.
Shall Allah Roast in the Fire of His Anger in the near future. And just
think how near it is on you that is guilty even at your very d???
Should not my absent among you be enough to warn you? How much you
should be in eagerness in walking upright And how close in unity should
you be together working for my return among you that I may impart to you
that which I am sent. Do you think I am so Dumb to send Valuable Wisdom
through Mail? And do you think your success is secure as long as you do
not Help to make it safe for me among you? Or do you think as the
hypocrites does, That the Temple, and the Marching of Islam will come to
ought? No, by my Allah! He will send me and I will set it aright by his
permission. So work in love and peace that you may be shown Favour on the
Day.
This letter is not directed at no certain One among you, But is meant
for the whole. I thank each and every one of you — For the many
blessings that you send to me and Family for if any one needs blessings
it is the one that is in the Bush. Though I have followers (supposed to
be) Who can spend Hundreds of Dollars on cars for their own temporary
pleasure, and hardly will give me over 50 cent at the time and not over a
$1.00 for the cause of Islam their own. I do not ??? will succeed very
long. May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be with you the Moslems. As I
say unto you.
