What We Need To Know About the Nation The World, and Ourselves 

DEPARTMENT OF SUPREME WISDOM

Written and sent to all Ministers of Muhammad’s Temples of Islam in the
Wilderness of North America by Elijah Muhammad, Servant of Allah. April
2, 1936

Awake you Ministers of Islam and put strength and rest not nor slumber.
Our brother is dead in the hands of strangers and is helpless, his mental
power 7-1/2 ounces is asleep in a total death. Awake, and trim the lamp
that Allah has filled with oil. The good oil from Heaven perfected our
light that the dead may revive.

When have we become slumberers, doubters, weary within three days?
Can a baby be born in three days and live? Nine months is its time and
seven months is hasty and in most cases not complete; have you not been
made wise to this physical workings of nature? Then you should be wise to
the spiritual growth. Thus we have not justly understood.

Did we take the gospel plow to look back? Or become impatient before
we get half way our row?

If we slumber, the spirit of allah, that He giveth us will die within
us, and we become as th ose who know not Allah; has the time become
prolonged that they are sleeping and tarrying, and burning out our holy
oil before the wedding takes place?

Have we learned all that we desire to know of Islam? Have we learned
the secret wisdom that is bound up in the 34 problems?

Have we understood thoroughly the 10 Questions? Or the No. 1 Lesson?
Have we entered the No. 2 Lesson? Wise hidden wisdom relative to this day
of ours, or have we clearly understood the forms and the knowledge of the
actual facts?

No man will begin a building without the actual facts concerning its
measurement, nor without Square and compass, and plumb line. This he must
have to make a form to begin this building. Again, it takes a baby three
months in the mother’s womb before it is formed and six months to mature,
for the new world which it is expected to face. Then its mother nurses it
for about two whole years and it is considered a little baby until it is
three years old or thirth-six months. Did you not know the forms OUR
SAVIOUR gives us to fill out is called the department of CIRCUIT? The
baby goes around and around in the womb until its time must be verified
by the nine months.

There are nine labors on the form to verify the lost-found.

Then if that be son, then he is the one that was lost and not a
devil, because of his devil name which has been forced on him while he
was dead. And that ninth labor is Allah’s Apostle, The Honorable Mr.
Elijah Muhammad. Remember, there are nine Planets that rotate around the
Sun: Again, the pilgrims that go to the Holy City Mecca, must make at
least seven circuits or seven rounds, around the Kaabar or running seven
times between the two small hills of Safa and Marwa.

A seven month baby has a chance to live. Also the Pilgrims must camp
in the plain of Arafat for a while before entering the City, and must
reach the Holy City Mecca before the 7th of the Zulhaj. Joshua commanded
the children of Israel that they should not claim the city of Jerico,
before making at least 7 rounds around it. You must remember that the 9
is a justified number, and seven is important, and plays a very prominent
part in the Universe. Again, even this Devil’s civilization, follows
Allah’s JUSTICE in selecting judges for the U.S. Supreme Court. The
nubmer is nine robed judges, and this number is on the Justice Building
at Washington, D.C. If we would ask questions we could learn more. How
many of you dear Ministers ask me questions? Are we all just sitting and
waiting to see Judgement of the wicked? Are you waiting and is prepared
to raise the dead?

Then if there be 7 ministers among us that understand the teachings of
Islam well enough to go out and take the field and warn the dead to rise
and live. Their Saviour has come and fear no man but Allah, then send me
you names at once and keep you appointments between the ministers alone.
