Urges U.S. Muslims:

Double Work For Allah & His Last Messenger

world’s largest Muslim nation –  Pakistan – had come into being (in
1947) without an armed struggle. Isn’t it thus possible that a similar
event will take place here, especially when Allah Himself decides to so

I further bear witness that the Messenger is doing his job very well,
indeed! But he is successful because Allah wants him to besuccessful. In
this time and day, no one but the elect of Allah will be successful in
whatever they set out to do.

If it is clear that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s work is Allah’s work,
I think it even clearer that, of all black leaders in this country, the
Messenger alone is destined to lead his people to the “promised land.”

By “promised land” I do not mean Africa. Africa, the “Mother Continent”
is and will forever remain the “spiritual” homeland of black people
everywhere. The Nation of Islam, with the help of Allah, will create its
“promised land”   right here – in the Western Hemisphere.

THE IDEA of a separate Muslim homeland – state or group of states the
adherents of Islam can call their own – may still seem far-fetched, and
perhaps it is. But, mind you, the earth, all of it, belongs to Allah and
not to a particular race of people.

It certainly does not belong to the Europeans-who were nowhere around in
the earlier stages of mankind’s history. Nor did they, to be sure,
inherit or acquire any part of it from its original inhabitants on moral
or legal grounds.

As for the Nation of Islam in America, I am confident it will not have to
wage a “war” to attain its aims. You are no doubt aware that the world’s
largest Muslim nation –  Pakistan – had come into being (in 1947)
without an armed struggle. Isn’t it thus possible that a similar event
will take place here, especially when Allah Himself decides to so favor
His people?

As for arms and weapons, I hardly need emphasize here that no Nation of
Islam member is ever permitted to own or use these, even for self-defense
purposes. This is a divine commandment which no Muslim shall disobey -
not even by mistake.

WE MUST not forget that protection of our lives and property rests
entirely in the hands of Allah – and surely He is capable of defending us
from any and all enemies.

Lest anyone should misunderstand or misjudge us on this score: While we
do not keep or rely upon guns and other man-made weapons to defend
ourselves, we are by no means “fatalists.”

Cowardice especially is not our traits and characteristics. If anyone
strikes a Muslim without reason or provocation, the latter never allows
the aggressor to go unpunished – much less willingly “turn the other
cheek.”

I might add here that we bear particularly strong feelings on the
question of defending our “queens” –  our women folk – and our children.
For a Muslim, there is no greater cause than that of the honor of his
loved ones, and no cause for which he will more readily sacrifice his
life!

OF COURSE, we don’t merely “defend” our women and children. We do much
more than that. We accord them the greatest respect and kindest treatment
possible. We see to it that our wives, mothers, daughters and sisters are
provided every comfort they desire and deserve.

We see to it that our sons and daughters get the very best of education -
not only in the “three R’s (reading, riting and ‘rithmetic) but also in
history or our (Islamic) people and civilizations.

For countless decades the white (Europeans) chroniclers have had you -
and I – believe that our Asiatic (black) ancestors were “heathens,
uncivilized, barbarians.” The truth of the matter – only now being fully
revealed – is just the opposite.

Let the white scholars of Europe and America answer these questions: Who
initially taught them the roots of “modern” mathematics? Who originally
gave them  the knowledge of chemistry, physics and medicine? Who were
the earliest geographers, astronomers and navigators?

WHO WERE the first people to set up schools, centers of academic learning
and libraries as we know them today? Who first developed “organized
agriculture” and textile and steel industries?

I could go on and on. And the answer would be the same: Our Asiatic
(Muslim) people were the originators and masters of ancient
civilizations. As for the white (Caucasian) people, the undeniable fact
is that they, as a distinct race, did not even exist on this planet a few
thousand years ago!
