1 cup rice (Uncle Ben's)
1/4 stick butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups water
dash of tumeric
Wash rice 3 or 4 times, rubbing between hands. Drain off water. Melt butter in skillet. Add rice and brown to a medium brown. Stir continually to keep from burning. Add water (a little at at time) and seasonings. Cover. Bring to boil. Lower flame and simmer until the rice is well done. Do not stir while simmering.
